Longki Djanggola satisfied to the TdCC's track

Palu, Central Sulawesi, (Antarasulteng.com) - Central Sulawesi Governor, Longki Djanggola, on Monday reviewed the condition of roads and bridges through which the participants of Tour de Central Celebes (TdCC) international cycling race, which will be held from November 6 to 8,2017, will pass through.

The governor started the review at 9 a.m. Central Indonesia Standard Time (WITA) at Ampana city in Tojo Unauna District, which will be the starting point of some 120 cyclists from 30 countries, including Indonesia.

The governor was accompanied by a number of related officials, namely Central Sulawesi Transportation Office Chief Abdul Haris Renggah, Public Works Office Chief Syaifullah Djafar, Communication and Informatics Office Chief Muhamad Nizam, and Tourism Office Chief Ardiansyah Lamasitudu, among others.

According to a press release from the Central Sulawesi Public Relation and Protocol Bureau, Transportation Office Chief Abdul Haris Renggah stated that the governor seemed quite satisfied because the track conditions were almost 100 percent ready to use.

Some points of the roads were still undergoing asphalting, such as in Banano Village and parts of Uekuli in Poso District.

In addition to reviewing the road and bridge condition, Djanggola and his entourage also took time to witness the preparation at the side of Lake Poso, which will be the finishing point of the first stage of the TdCC.

The participants will enjoy the beauty of Lake Poso and the traditional art and cultural performances that will be performed to entertain them.

The TdCC 2017 race will cover a total distance of 487 kilometers, crossing the districts of Tojo Unauna, Poso, Parigi Moutong, and Sigi, and the city of Palu.

The cycling race will be divided into three stages, with the first one from the Tojo Unauna district town of Ampana to Tentena at the side of Lake Poso; the second from Poso to Parigi; the third from Parigi to Sigi; and finishing in the city of Palu.

The governor took time to communicate with local residents, along the road from Ampana to Tentena, and encouraged them to be good hosts to make TdCC successful.

"Maintain security and order; provide maximum service to all visitors with a sincere smile, especially the participants of the international cycling race," he remarked.

In the meantime, TdCC Committee Secretary Mustajab Moezahar pointed out that the Tourism Minister Arief Yahya will flag off the first stage of the race, which will cover 198 kilometers, from Ampana to Tentena at the side of Lake Poso.

The first stage will start at 10 am WITA and finish at Tentena at 2.40 p.m. WITA.

After spending a night at the lake side, enjoying the beauty of the lake and traditional cultural art performances, the riders will continue the second stage of 135.6 kilometers from Poso at 9 a.m. WITA and arrive at Parigi city at 12.02 p.m. WITA.

Finally, the third stage, which will cover 153.3 kilometers, will start from Parigi city at 12 noon and finish in Palu, in front of Central Sulawesi governor office, at 3.34 p.m. WITA. (Editor: Otniel Tamindael/Rolex Malaha)
