Palu, C.Sulawesi (antarasulteng.com) - A state-owned company from Hungary, Budapest Water Work, will take advantage of Palu River for clean water development.
"The Palu city administration has signed an MoU with the Hungarian company," Deputy Mayor of Palu, Andi Mulhanan Tombolotutu, said here on Thursday.
Budapest Water Work will build an office as well as construct a water reservoir and equip it with a water piping system for water management of Palu River by 2016.
According to Tombolotutu, the company will produce 1,000 to 2,500 liters of water per second, which will be piped to the entire community in Palu.
"It is an effort to meet the basic needs of the community, especially in Palu," he said.
Head of the Palu Administrator (Special Economic Zones) Sudaryano R Lamangkona said water supplied from Palu River will be partly allocated to the Special Economic Zones of Palu.
Lamangkona said the Hungarian company will start investing after receiving the documents pertaining to the feasibility study conducted by Australian Aid.
Thus, the company does not need to conduct a study or survey in Palu as the document will be provided by Australian Aid.
