Palu, C Sulawesi,  (Antaranes Sulteng) - A total of five ministers of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi`s) cabinet will be keynote speakers at a seminar on increasing export and import investments in Palu on May 3, 2018.

Deputy Chairman of Regional Commissioners (Komda) of Indonesian User Service Transportation Board (Depalindo) of Central Sulawesi, Achrul Udaya, said here on Wednesday that the five ministers are Coordinating Minister for Economy, Minister of SOE, Minister of Industry, Minister of Agriculture, and Minister of Transportation.

Other speakers include Governor of Bank Indonesia, Director General of Customs and Excise, Chairman of Indonesia`s Regional Representative Council (DPD RI), President Director of Pelindo IV, and Central Sulawesi Governor H. Longki Djanggola.

Meanwhile, several officials will also give speeches, namely the Chairman of the DPD GPEI Central Sulawesi, Chairman of the Central Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of DPP Depalindo, Chairman of the Central GPEI DPP, and Central Sulawesi Governor.

He explained that the seminar, to be held at Sultan Raja Hotel, will be divided into two sessions.

Udaya, who is also the Vice Chairman of Kadin and Secretary of DPD Apindo of Central Sulawesi Province, explained that the seminar is scheduled to be held tonight (May 2). All participants from the region have arrived in Palu.

The seminar participants come from Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua Provinces.

This activity aims to increase export and import investment in eastern Indonesia, especially in Central Sulawesi Province, as the host of seminar organizers.

He also hopes that the seminar will bring a number of recommendations, including ease of investment in the region to increase non-oil and gas exports, including in Central Sulawesi, and will enable the direct export of cocoa, similar to the previous years.

However, Central Sulawesi is a national cocoa producer, which could previously export cocoa beans directly to several countries and generate a substantial foreign exchange to the non-oil and gas export commodities.
